We accept new members throughout Germany. You can become a member at your nearest general FAU union chapter. If you’re not sure which chapter is responsible for your region, feel free to send us an email.
Our membership base is growing rapidly, and we’re working to establish local and regional structures. But even without existing regional structures, our organizing committee is always available to help you, and you can stay up to date and get to know active colleagues through the IGG newsletter and topic-specific chat groups.
Regional and local structures already exist in:

- Western Regional Structure (North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland, Saarland)
- Central Regional Structure (Marburg, Frankfurt am Main, Witzenhausen, Kassel, Göttingen)
- Eastern Regional Structure (Saxony, Thuringia, Halle)
- Berlin-Brandenburg Regional Structure (+ Magdeburg, Wendland)
- Southern Regional Structure (Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria)
