SOC-SAT, the Andalusian farm workers’ union with which we are affiliated, went on an indefinite strike on 10 August against Lara Castaneda’s farm (Agroponiente Group). This followed a series of negotiations. FAU Berlin calls for the “We’ve had enough!” (“Wir haben es satt”) demonstration in the anti-capitalist bloc

Workers in agriculture, horticulture, environmental, and forestry professions experience on a daily basis how exploitative and destructive the existing economic system is. Every year, people die doing this work. Many struggle with precarious contracts, wage dumping, and discrimination, especially our migrant comrades. While agricultural workers in other regions of the world experience hunger, violence, and displacement, the fruits of these conditions end up in our supermarkets.
